Tackling current fandoms, Rowell really knows how to hit it off with her readers. Kindred Spirits is one-hundred percent worthy of a World Book Day title - the only downfall is that it had to end.
In this exclusive World Book Day short, Rowell really pulls out all of the tools in her belt to provide readers with another stunner. Kindred Spirits was comical, witty and deadly serious all at the same time. Not only does it thrill fans of the Star Wars fandom but it also hits home with strong family ties - something that Rowell is well known for.
I am utterly thrilled that I got to read this exclusive title early, and you can bet that when it hits shelves I'm going to be picking up to add to my Rainbow collection! I strongly urge anyone who is a Rainbow Rowell fan to take a peak at Kindred Spirits this March, alongside any major Star Wars fans.
At only 96 pages, this short story really packs a powerful punch with strong characters, dynamics and a phenomenal plot. The singular downside is that this story had to end before it's time. I award Kindred Spirits by Rainbow Rowell a 4 out of 5 stars on my classification scale. I'd love to see this story continue on in the future - there is definitely potential for a relationship story to be pulled out and developed on from this. We can only hope that we see something in the near future.
I don't like Star Wars, but I'm a huge fan of Rainbow Rowell, so I was a little worried about this one. I hope it's not too full of Star Wars references, because I just won't get them! I'll definitely be picking this one up though (I mean, we get free WBD vouchers at school...), so hopefully I'll like it! :D

Whilst it is packed with a few star wars references, I don't think it's too overbearing. A lot of what is written can apply to multiple fandoms! Hopefully you enjoy it!
